A Script That Creates Email Forwarders?

So here's why I'm trying to do! I have a userbase and I want them to be able to create an email forwarder without making each account individually. Is there any way to do this with PHP? Or a combonation of PHP, MySQL and CRON jobs? Or even... Perl?

 

Any assistance is appreciated! I heard someone mention LDAP, but I'm not too sure on the specifics of that.

You could definitely do it but it would be a pretty significant sized project and you'd have to parse your main inbox and forward from there. Hopefully someone else has experience with something similar and can offer ideas. The only other thing I can think of is to try script sites like hotscripts.com and see if they have anything.
