kcaysoc Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Hey all, I'm currently a TCH customer, with one account / one domain. The domain is one that I run for our local soccer league, and we're getting ready to move out of the area, so I'd like to transfer that account over to someone who can pick up the reins and run with the site. However, over the last few years, I've used this account for my own personal use as well, so I'm needing to clean it out a bit before I give it over to someone else. I'm assuming my best bet is to just purchase a second account, but here are my questions: 1. Is there an easy way to transfer things from one account to another, provided you own both? (I'm not talking about huge amounts of data....maybe 50 photos or so and a few html files, mostly.) I'm aware that I could save all of the files to my hard drive and re-upload them into the new account...I was just making sure there wasn't an easier way to do it. 2. When the time comes for me to give up control over the first account, what's the best way to go about doing that? I'll need to transfer the domain name and everything, and to be honest, once we got all of that set up the first time, I pretty much forgot all the details about how to work with those, so I'm needing the Instructions for Dummies version of help. Many thanks in advance!!! Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Welcome to the forums kcaysoc Actually the help desk can duplicate the site for you by doing a cpanel transfer to the new account and then you can clear out the one you are going to leave behind. You should be able to transfer the account to someone else but you would have to go through the help desk to have it done. Link to the help desk is at top of page. Quote
stevevan Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Welcome to the forums from someone else who not only runs a soccer club web site, but a soccer referee one as well! Bruce's suggestion is probably the easiest. The Help Desk should get you quickly squared away. Quote
