waynemac Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 Greetings all, I got the upgrade or lose it email today. Went to cPanel but cant upgrade... "Sorry, you must specify a directory to install or upgrade!" so am doing it manually...but... When I try to extract the .zip file I get... "phpBB-2.0.17-files.zip File Type: Zip archive data, at least v1.0 to extract Archive: phpBB-2.0.17-files.zip" Ummmmm, any ideas on what to do, before opening a ticket? Regards, Wayne Quote
TCH-Don Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 Did you upload then are trying to extract in filemanager or just trying to unzip on your computer? Don't forget to change back to the sub-silver theme first. Then use the changed files update. Quote
waynemac Posted August 22, 2005 Author Posted August 22, 2005 (edited) Don thanx for the reply. Actually, this is the second time Im posting this reply. The first one disappeared after I logged out...hmmm. Anyways, I uploaded the .zip to root at TCH and even changed the permissions to 777 but no go on extracting it. Even today I get this message... "phpBB-2.0.17-files.zip File Type: Zip archive data, at least v1.0 to extract Archive: phpBB-2.0.17-files.zip" Maybe I should submit a ticket? Wayne Edited August 22, 2005 by waynemac Quote
TCH-Don Posted August 22, 2005 Posted August 22, 2005 Yes if filemanager cannot extract a standard zip file then open a help desk ticket to the techs. Quote
waynemac Posted August 25, 2005 Author Posted August 25, 2005 Don, thanx. Opened a ticket and the techies unzipped it for me. Thanx, Wayne Quote
TCH-Don Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Wayne when you click on a zip file name (not the icon) in file manager do you see a menu at the right with an option to extract the file? Quote
waynemac Posted August 25, 2005 Author Posted August 25, 2005 Don, thanx always. Yes, I see/saw the extract option. I found that by recompressing it to a tgz I could then extract it TCH side. Managed to get things 99% complete except for a strange line of code at the top of the website saying... session_start(); if (isset($_GET[hide_header]) OR ($_POST[hide_header] == "true")) { $_SESSION[hide_header] = TRUE; } if (!$_SESSION[hide_header]) { I see it in the source file but cant find where its generating from backside. I also opened a ticket with the tech crew and they were of help too. Wayne Quote
