Phpmyadmin

I´d like to know if it´s possible to connect local PHPMyAdmin (installed in mi PC) to my website at Totalchoice, instead of entering in CPanel and manage it in the browser.

 

I have PHPmyAdmin installed, but I don´t know how configure it. I mean, what´s the host string, user and password?

Hi Hazel,

 

I haven't tried using PHPMyAdmin remotely myself, but with other remote mySQL programs you need to set;

 

Host - your domain name

dbname - cpanelname_databasenane

dbuser - cpanel_user

password - whatever you created it as.

 

You will need to allow access (in the database section of your cpanel) by adding your IP address (or % for any) into the allowed hosts section.
