Petros Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 I have set my Eudora up correctly, but when I try sending mail I get the message attached. Any hints would be nice thanks. Quote
KevinW Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 You say you have your Eudora set up correctly -- but for what? Obviously something is not sert up correctly if you are getting an error message. For starters: If all you are trying to do is standard POP3 with Eudora, under Tools > Options > Getting Started, make sure the 'Authentication allowed' box is checked immediately under the SMTP Server (Outgoing) field. Under Tools > Options > Checking Mail, make sure that Secure Sockets is set to "If available...". -kw Quote
Petros Posted May 19, 2003 Author Posted May 19, 2003 Thanks for the help mate. I have since solved this problem. The Secure Sockets is set to "If abailable.." must actually be set to never, otherwise it does not work. Mine was set that way initially, and bingo, I got the message. No matter, all is resolved now. Thanks for the input. Quote
