paingold Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 How do block the public from viewing your site folder contents? Take for example your "images" folder. If my website was named "www.mywebsite.com".. how do you keep the puplic from viewing your entire images folder directory if they were to type "www.mywebsite.com/images" in their browser's address bar? I know that there's a "private" folder in my TCH web site setup. But if I put my images in this folder then they'll appear as broken images if used in any of my web pages. Hope this make sense. marie b. Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 (edited) You can turn indexing off by going to your Cpanel / Index Manager, then following the directions. Edited July 31, 2005 by marie b. Quote
paingold Posted July 31, 2005 Author Posted July 31, 2005 (edited) That was easy. Thanks! ForbiddenYou don't have permission to access /images/ on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Edited July 31, 2005 by paingold Quote
TCH-Don Posted July 31, 2005 Posted July 31, 2005 (edited) You can also just put a web page in the image folder so it will not display the images. Edited August 1, 2005 by TCH-Don Quote
