elzee Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 (edited) I hope everybody are having a nice and hothothot weekend! I was setting up my email and I'm sure that I did something wrong. First I went to my OE and did step-by-step according to the instructions. After that I created email address(same) in C-panel and also used the automatic OE configuration. So, I ended up with two accounts. Here is what I did in In Outlook Express: 1. Mail Account: mail.uniquedesignsbyella.com should I leave it like that ? 2. User Infor. Name: Unique Designs by Ella ( ? ) E-mail address: info@uniquedesignsbyella.com 3. Servers POP3: mail.uniquedesignsbyella.com SMTP: mail.uniquedesignsbyella.com Incoming mail server: Account name - info@uniquedesignsbyella.com Password - I entered the password for TCH account. Then I went to the C-panel and clicked "Add new account": info@uniquedesignsbyella.com and then clicked on Automatic OE configuration and ended up with this in my Outlook Express "Accounts" : Under "Mail Accounts" : My TCH account name Under "connection" - using dialer ??? What is DIALER ? In Properties>General: Mail account - my TCH account name("user name") Name - my TCH acc. name email address - my TCH acc. name reply - my TCH acc. name In "Servers": POP3 - mail.uniquedesignsbyella.com SMTP - mail.uniquedesignsbyella.com incoming mail server Acc. name - my TCH acc. name Password - my TCH acc. password. So, now I have two email accounts in my OE: 1. mail.uniquedesignsbyella.com 2. my TCH User name Should I discard both acc. and to do it again ? I guess, I should go first to C-panel and create acc. there and then OE ? And why automatic configuration puts my user name everywhere it can ...;-) SORRY , I'm probably confusing you all ;-) Thank you very much! Edited June 25, 2005 by elzee Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 Delete the one you did not create. Since you already created one for the account, you did not need to have cPanel try to do it for you. Quote
elzee Posted June 25, 2005 Author Posted June 25, 2005 hm...why I haven't thought about it myself ?! THANKS! Quote
