Mae Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 From the info. on your site, I was under the impression that you could be up and running withing 12 hours. When I signed up this morning, the email said it could take up to 36 hours? What's up w/that? I haven't heard anything? What takes so long? When can I reasonably expect to be able to get online? Madmanmcp Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Its best if you, drop a Help Desk ticket. Link is above. Quote
TCH-Don Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Mae, first TCH has to receive payment from where ever you paid then they will setup your account web space and e-mail you the details. It may take a while if there is a lot going on for the techs. It is called the longest wait, but patience it will happen And Welcoeme to the family and yes you can open a help ticket to inquire about it. for user/password put none. Quote
Mae Posted June 23, 2005 Author Posted June 23, 2005 I guess patience isn't my middle name right now because the email came! So now - can someone point me to step A? What do I do first to get up and running? I have FP 2000. Quote
TCH-Don Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 In your welcome e-mail you will find the details on connecting to your web space with ftp and look here for FP help. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 When you made you made yourself comfortable in your new account, please drop by the introductions forum for even more welcomes. Quote
stevevan Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 First of all, welcome to the family! You should take this one step at a time. First, read the email you received carefully. Next, read the FP tutorials carefully. Then, publish just an index page so you can get a feel for how things go and what to do. Patience is a virtue when dealing with Internet issues. BTW...Propagation of your site name could take as few as 2 hours or as long as 72. Lastly, if you are still totally lost, feel free to post again. Since I have FP2K installed, I might be able to help you. There are also several family members who I would consider "Microsoft Experts" and they will chime in as well. One more thing to remember, when submitting something to the help desk or asking for help here, give as much information about the problem as you can (source code, description, etc.) It makes things a lot easier to troubleshoot than by simply saying "It don't work." We're a big family here with lots of experience and advice to give! Welcome aboard! Quote
