Me

still getting it on my end, in any browser I use, cleared cache etc.

The full error:

WordPress database error: [Got error 28 from table handler]

SELECT DISTINCT * FROM wp_posts WHERE 1=1 AND post_date_gmt <= '2005-06-16 11:56:59' AND (post_status = "publish" OR post_author = 1 AND post_status != 'draft' AND post_status != 'static') GROUP BY wp_posts.ID ORDER BY post_date DESC LIMIT 0, 10

When I check the wordpress wiki I am sent here:

http://codex.wordpress.org/Answers-Trouble_Shooting#Error_28

That sends me here:

What is error 28 and how can I avoid it?

http://www.mysql.com/news-and-events/newsl...0000000249.html

Looks to be something I can not work on from my end to me.

So this is a real error, even though for some reason you guys cant see it, dunno whats going on.

Welcome to the forum, OwlBoy. :)

I had a look at he pages you provided links for.

They say that repairing the tables in the wordpress mysql database have solved it for some people.

I don´t know which table they refer to since I have never ran in to this problem, , but it might be worth checking out.

Thanks for the reply, I did that already, on wp_posts

Still no help :(

looking at: http://wiki.wordpress.org/?pagename=Error28

then the forum links it has at the bottom:

http://wordpress.org/support/3/1738

http://wordpress.org/support/3/2923

http://wordpress.org/support/3/2760

They all lead to topics saying it was fixed when an issue with space was fixed.

As far as I can tell I am not out of space on my host, but I don't know if I have some SQL allotment that I don't know about...

Bah!!!

Now I look at my site again, and it's working once again!

It started working magically a few hours ago too, and then wigged out again.

What the heck is going on?

Welcome to the forums Bryan :)

Its true,

support is for sever issues, and not third party scripts.

But hopefully a family member here more experienced with WP

will come along an have some ideas.

  • 4 weeks later...

I would like to note: the problems just magically went away.

I think it was the server acting up. It was issues with databases, and accessing space on the server's hard drive basically.

It was NOT WORDPRESS.
