gocoast Posted May 7, 2003 Posted May 7, 2003 Hello. I want to setup real address: mail1 But I want all mail going to this to be copied to 2 other addresses, mail2 and mail3. Can I set up a mail forwarder for mail1 that points to: mail1, mail2, mail3 ? Or will this cause a loop ? Thanks Quote
boxturt Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 Hi. It doesn't create a loop. Set up the primary account mail1@****** and set the forwarder utility to mail2@******,mail3@******. Don't forget the comma. Quote
gocoast Posted May 8, 2003 Author Posted May 8, 2003 Hi and thanks for the response. But if I do not put mail1 as a target in the forwarder, how will mail1 keep a copy of the mail. Or is it that the forwarder leaves a copy in the orginal address by default ? Thanks Quote
boxturt Posted May 8, 2003 Posted May 8, 2003 If I send mail to your 'real' mailbox - mail1@****** then mail1 will keep my mail in the inbox, as it has arrived at it's intended destination, and then mail1 will automatically forward to mail2 and mail3. As long as you don't try to forward again from mail2 and mail3 you will not get a loop. Ty Quote
