waynej Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 I've been able to publish from FrontPage 2000 for many months and it suddenly doesn't work. I publish to http://<domain> like always and before being challenged for my password, get this popup: The server could not complete your request. Contact your Internet service provider or web server administrator to make sure that the server has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed. For more specific information, click Details (I click Details...) 500 Internal Server Error Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@<domain> and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/1.3.33 Server at www.<domain> Port 80 cpanel says the extensions are installed and I reinstalled them with the same resuls. Quote
jnull Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 Sounds like FrontPage extensions need to be removed and then reinstalled. If you've done that, and problem persists, time to send in a support request to TCH. Quote
waynej Posted May 26, 2005 Author Posted May 26, 2005 Yep, uninstall and reinstall worked. Thanks! I wonder what caused this. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 Sometimes the extensions become corrupt. Glad it's working. Quote
stevevan Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 I have also seen this happen from time to time. Just one of those "automagical" things, I guess! Glad to hear you got it working! Quote
