I was just reading an analysis of a recent google patent application related to their web site scoring methodology. The link is currently slashdotted but you might check it once it cools down enough to touch...

Anyway, what I found interesting is this: "the credibility of your host has never been more important to ranking well in Google's SERP's." Apparently, if the company hosting your site is known for hosting spammers and spam link sites, it can negatively affect the google ranking of your site.

Interesting read, though there is really only one reason to host here. The outstanding staff, family and support make this the best host on the planet by far. And I have seen enough of them to know. The rest is just icing on the cake.
