I´m Lost

Hi,

I´ve searched this forum and the help pages but just got lost, what is PHP-nuke in c-panel > Add on?

"Advanced content management system" doesn´t tell me much.

What does it contain and so on?

Hi Thomas.

 

PHP-Nuke is a "Content Management System" (CMS for short).

 

CMS's are software that allows you to control almost every detail of your website through an administration panel. The main use for this is updating news on your website but usually CMS's have a plugin system that allows you to develop (or use pre-built) plugins to add functionality, such as chat boxes, discussion forums, voting polls, etc, etc.

 

PHP-Nuke's initial objective was the management of news items but soon it eveolved and became a very complex (too complex, actually, IMHO) CMS, with plugins for tons of other functionalities.

If i use that one-click install and doesnt like it or not understanding it, i can remove it just that easily too? (Got to ask so i dont have to end up redoing site )

Yes. just put it in a subdomain and play with it, if you don't like it just go back to cpanel and remove it.

Ok, I installed it, played with it, played some more, played with themes mostly though and got this:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: themesidebox() in /home/jikrant/public_html/phpnuke/mainfile.php on line 328
