Differences In Accounts

I ahve two starter hosting packages and I have noticed dome odd differences between them. For example one has "Submit Support Request" "Image Mapper" "Box Trapper" and "Leech Protect" but doesn't have an "SSL manager". The other has the "SSL manager" but not the others.

 

Also, in the scripts library one has a lot more scripts that the other.

 

Given that I am paying the same for each account, and that the accounts ostensibly are the same service, shouldn't I have the same options in each account?

As TCH-Rick pointed out in another thread recently.

 

There are some additional scripts available for installation through CPanel and a few servers have had them available. We have handled it much the same as we did when PhpNuke and Invision were added as options for add-on scripts where the option was enabled on request.

 

We have not enabled the scripts on all servers because we have not had the chance to insure that they work correctly. It is important to note that the scripts included in the Add-on scripts are still third party scripts and we do not provide support for them through the Help Desk. A couple of the autoinstallation modules have also proven to have problems. 

 

My personal opinion is that it is worth taking a little more time to install scripts manually. Users here are willing to help with problems. When the auto-installs work correctly they are certainly easy. When they fail they can really cause problems that can be very difficult to correct.
