moose6589 Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Hi, This is my first time setting up a website, and so far, everything seems to be great! However, I've found that Zonealarm is blocking the port necessary to run CPanel, so I cannot access CPanel while Zonealarm is on. I've tried adding my website to the list of trusted sites, but that hasn't done anything. Once I shutdown Zonealarm, everything works fine. Does anyone know how to unblock the port in Zonealarm? Thanks! -Richard Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 I am sorry, but I dont know the answer to this. Just wanted to welcome you to the forum. Quote
stevevan Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 I'm using ZoneAlarm Pro and have no problems access mine with the default settings and the Internet Zone set to "High". However, to add/change ports, (with the Pro version anyway), you'd open up the Zone Alarm, choose Firewall, select the "Main" tab, go to "Internet Zone Security" option, and click the "Custom" button. This is where you can add/change/delete specific ports. Hope this helps! And welcome to the forums! Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Welcome to the forums Richard If you are accessing cpanel using http: you need to open port 2082 If you are accessing cpanel using https: you need to open post 2083 Quote
moose6589 Posted March 24, 2005 Author Posted March 24, 2005 (edited) Thanks, that really helped! I opened up port 2082 after a bit of exploring in Zonealarm, and now everything works just fine. Edited March 24, 2005 by moose6589 Quote
