I've got both MT and WP installed and trying both out. I like them both and need to decide on one to take the lead. I like the ease of WP but the flexibility of MT. Might just be that MT is a bit more "difficult" so it feels more customizable... I don't know.

What I'd like (besides the usual):

Integrated forums

Integrated Photo Gallery

By integrated I mean that they should/would look like they're a part of the blog itself. I see WP has forums they're working on but aren't ready yet so would need to learn to customize it. No big deal but will the support be there? I also see MT works with Invision which is a better forum (obviously since it's been around longer) so that would be a great option.

Thoughts? This is a project I'm working on for work so I'll need to demonstrate what it can do. We have a main site already but this will be kind of an "alternative" site with a different reason for being. I've looked into using both of them for "commercial use" (since it will be for work) but if anyone has any thoughts/suggestions about that, I'd appreciate those too.

I figured I'd ask here because  Not only the techs but the rest of the users as well.

Thanks everyone.

As far as the "integrated" look, you'll have to do some work on your own to make everything truly look the same. I use MT and have a bunch of photo albums and miscellaneous other pages on my site. Through the use of templates and PHP includes they all look the same, even though only one page is the blog, and the rest are mostly static. I can help you with MT customization and if you like my photo albums I can help you set up something similar. Forums I don't do, so can't help you there. And on the choice between MT and WP, I just happened to try MT first, and it does what I need it to do.

your photo section is great, that's what i'd like to do. guess i'll have to look at MT and invision to see how to integrate them. might find something online to help too.

thanks :)
