Ok, i've got a question related to ftp, but i don't believe the ftp transfer is the problem?

So my problem is that i've just uploaded a newly edited video to my website. It worked perfectly on my computer: no choppiness, no staggers, it ran smoothly. But now when i run it off the site its choppy like crazy and pretty much slows to a stop except for the audio. So i figured it was doing something realtime, so i saved it to disk and ran it from there, but it was just as choppy as before. I compared the two files and they are the same size, yet one runs nicely and the other horribly....i'm using WS_FTP Pro, and i couldn't find the option to transfer using ascii or binary, but i'm not sure it even matters. Anyone got ideas?
