oreo619 Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Ok...I'm signed up with TCH to host. I have my domain registered at "anotherregistrationplace.com" and I have a website ready to load. What is my next step? How do I get my site to you, set up my e-mail, and park a few domain names? I would like to eventually have my domains registered with TCH too insted of that other place. Thanks in advance. Quote
TCH-Dick Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Once your account is set up you will get a welcome e-mail with all of the info (username, password, IP address) you'll need for FTP etc. Then you'll just need to FTP your files to the server. Welcome to the family Quote
oreo619 Posted January 5, 2005 Author Posted January 5, 2005 ok thanks...looking for the email now. Quote
TCH-Don Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Welcome to the Family and your new home! after your payment is received your account will be setup and the welcome e-mail sent be sure to check junk and spam folders. When you are setup, just open a help ticket to have the other domains parked on top of your new account. We really are like family here. So if you need anything, just ask your new family! We love to help Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 Depending on if you used lets say hotmail as adress when signing up, be sure to check any junk/spam folders since services like hotmail tends to sort these emails in to those folders. Also, welcome to your extended family Quote
oreo619 Posted January 5, 2005 Author Posted January 5, 2005 I'm impatient....any guesstimates on how long a welcome email takes? Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 From the F.A.Q´s I have NOT been notified that my account has been set up and its been over 24 hours. This could be caused by a provisioning error. If you have not received any e-mails from us with a few hours of ordering please contact us via live chat or via e-mail. Quote
TCH-Don Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 It can take less than an hour or as long as 10 hours it the longest wait, like watching water boil Mean while you can pop over to the introductions forum and say hello for more welcomes Quote
oreo619 Posted January 5, 2005 Author Posted January 5, 2005 HOURS?!? i guess i'll just have to find something to do in the meantime...hmm..what to do... Quote
TCH-Dick Posted January 5, 2005 Posted January 5, 2005 HOURS?!? i guess i'll just have to find something to do in the meantime...hmm..what to do... New accounts are set up manually, it is not an automated process. We used to have automated account set up but due to the increase in fraudulent accounts being created we went back to manual account creation. Fraud accounts cost TCH money, which in the long run could have caused us to increase prices to compensate, manually creating accounts keeps the fraud issues down as well as the costs associated with fraud accounts.
