Hi,

I installed gallery on my site in the pub_html folder. So if I go to mysite.com/gallery, I will get the gallery page. But I want to make a subdomain for gallery, like photos.mysite.com. I don't want to link it to the gallery folder, but I want it as an actual subdomain. So do I have to reinstall gallery? What should I do?

Please Help,

Thank you.

First of all, welcome to your extended family :D

Lets say your folder is named "Gallery" and the url now is domain.com/gallery.

In your cpanel go to "Domains", "Manage subdomains" and enter that you want to make "gallery" your subdomain. Thats all to it. Note that above cpanel names may have another name depending on which cpanel theme you use but they should be something similar.

Also moving for organization.

 Welcome to the Family :P

and your new home!

if you have trouble creating the subdomain because the folder exist,

just rename the gallery folder, then create the gallery subdomain

and copy the renamed folder files into the new gallery folder.

We really are like family here.

So if you need anything,

just ask your new family!
