The Modern American Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Dear TCH- A few weeks ago, the phpBB people released a new version, number 2.0.11. Included in the update are patches which they have dubbed "critical." Is there any way that TCH can install this latest version in Cpanel so all of us using TCH can have a one-click upgrade to 2.0.11? Currently, the Cpanel only offers "upgrade to 2.0.10". You can read on their forums about the latest version here. A choice quote from that webpage: This is a reminder to all users to upgrade as soon as possible to 2.0.11. Remember, the issue leading to this release was extremely serious. It gave rise to the possibility for persons to "install" scripts, delete files and otherwise access your system. Thanks a lot. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Hi and welcome to your extended family, TCH does not have any control when things that are installable through cpanel gets updated so you will need to contact cpanel.net about that. As for the patch, read more here. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Welcome to the family. And please check out the thread that Thomas references. Quote
KungFòóFairy Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Just do like Mike says in this http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...=14581&hl=phpbb post and open a support ticket asking them to upgrade the version of cpanel on the server your site is hosted on. I did this and they even updated my forums to 2.0.11 for me. Quote
