TCH-Thomas Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 I am planning on reinstalling Firefox by uninstalling it first (so no install over old install). Are there any files I should back up first besides bookmarks? Can I back up the saved passwords list so I dont have to enter them again? Does anyone know what that file is named? Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted November 26, 2004 Posted November 26, 2004 Thomas, if you uninstall all of your personal preferences are saved. You don't need to uninstall. You can install over the current installation. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted November 26, 2004 Author Posted November 26, 2004 I need to uninstall I think. Because ever since I used .8 I have upgraded (except for one time I think) and now I use 1.0. In control panels add/remove programs it tells me I still have several installations of FF. Today I found a virus in FF´s cache which I have set to zero so it should not contain any files but it does so I am thinking about uninstall all that has to do with FF and then make fresh installation of 1.0 only. And that is why I need to know what files I need to save to be back on track as soon as possible. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 You should find your user data in the following type path. C:\Documents and Settings\Login_name\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\Default User\something.slt Quote
