Hi,

In August I signed up for the smaller server package and a domain name to use for my College Radio show. A few monthes later, yesterday, I decided that it was time to set up my online resume and personal domain name so I register Draneor.com.

My question is how can I link both domain names to the same server? If you can answer me in lots of detail that would be for the best. :D

Thanks!

First of all...

Welcome to your extended family :D

I dont exactly understand what it is you want to do, but here is what you can do and can not according to the AUP:

Regular accounts

You may have one or several domains pointing to same indexpage.

You may not have one domain pointing to roots indexpage and another pointing to a subdomain etc.

Reseller accounts

You may do pretty much how you like, including having as many domains you want pointing to any section you want (Not sure on this one though).

You can set up as many accounts with their own domains.

All this as long you dont excees your disc space and bandwidth.

Interesting. :D

After reading your response I took a look at the Reseller package and came to the conclusion that, yes, I would need that us the two domain names on one server.

Is there an upgrade option from the Regular account type, and if so how much?

Not too sure I'm going to upgrade yet, since the server I have now I split the cost of with my roomate, but is there anyway I could trash the old domain name and link my new one to the server?

For example:

Change From

http://www.oldname.com

TCH Server

Change To

http://www.draneor.com

TCH Server

Thanks again!

Welcome to the family and forums.

You can open a help desk ticket (link above) to support and have them either park the new domain on top of the old domain and you would have both domains going to your current site. Or you can ask them to change the domain name to the new name and discard the current one.

If the cost of the reseller account is too much you can always just purchase an additional hosting account. I have three individual hosting accounts as they are less expensive than one reseller account.

Hope that helps.
