We recently moved over from bloghosts.com, and one of our blogs is now working. The other is not: http://e-biz.windsofchange.net/

It displays for readers because the files were moved over, but the MT for comments or posting is NOT working.

After receiving error messages around accessing the databases, I fixed the mt.cfg data so it reflected our new username and the proper MySQL db and dbuser information (values confirmed via cPanel).

I now get this instead of an MT connection error when I try to connect to the blog's editing interface:

Got an error: Can't locate HTML/Template.pm in @INC (@INC contains: ./extlib ./lib ./extlib ./lib /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.4/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.4 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4/i686-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl .) at lib/MT/App.pm line 300.

I looked in App.pm, and neither INC or Template.pm is present at all, anywhere.

I also don't see why it's returning this error. Any ideas? Suggestions for fixes?

I know near nothing about Perl, so I may be wrong but that seems to be a missing Perl module. Is the other blog (the one you say it's working) also using Movable Type?

By the way, your blog is no longer "Hosted by Bloghosts", it is now "Hosted by TCH" :) :)

Follow these instructions to get it to work....

Basically you need to download a perl module and upload it to extlib/HTML (needs to be created) in ASCII mode!

UPDATE: I took a look around your blog and everything seems fine now...did you fix it ?

You should run the mt-check.cgi script from your MT directory. This script will check whether all the requirements for MT are available. If you miss some components, see the page mentioned above for instructions.

See that's the weird thing I couldn't understand. I check the mt-check.cgi and it reported that HTML::Template was found...now if that was the case I dont' see why MT is searching for it in HTML/Template.pm

We did fix it, thanks. Some of the files hadn't transferred over, specifically a number of items in /e-biz/cgi-bin/mt/extlib/

We added them - and things seem to be working.

Even so, running the mt-check.cgi script seems like a good idea. How exactly does onw "run this script" - where does one go, what commands does one type, etc.

That it is. We're in the process of changing our templates, though of course the tech issues come first.

BTW, see the graphic below from Steal These Buttons. Might be a good idea to submit something to http://www.gtmcknight.com/buttons/hosts.php that gives TCH a bit more snazz and branding, to go with your new look.
