MikeJ Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 The hostname for your database is indeed "localhost". And you can start setting that up as soon as your account is ready. You just won't get any traffic on that account until the DNS changes propagate. Quote

xaq Posted November 3, 2004 Author Posted November 3, 2004 ok the reason i was wondering if i should do this after propagation is because after you upload all the files into your subdomain, you need to go to, (ex) forums.angrymob.org/install/install.php and i don't think i can do that until propagation is complete. am i wrong? Somethings do not work til after progation because of the paths in the forum will point to your domain/folder. So if this is a new install of your forum, it might be better to wait til after you change your DNS to point to the nameservers given to you in your welcome e-mail, and the site propagates to Totalchoice.
