animgirl Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 Hello, Right now I'm working on customizing DaDa mail for a client and myself. I've never worked with a mailing list that I've set up myself before, I've read that on some servers after you send out so many mass mailings that you get considered as spam, or something like that. So I'm wondering what some of the TCH prerequisites are for not accidentally getting considered as spam and if there are any precautions that I should know about related to this mailing list. At this point my overestimate guesstimate for subscribers is in the low hundreds. I'd be interested in knowing what to do with larger scale lists too. Thank you so much, Quote
TCH-Don Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 Keeping in mind that shared hosting is not meant for large e-mail list If you use batch mode and keep it reasonable, and use opt out like Dada Mail and the recipients opt in first as in join your list you should be ok. to insure you do not overload the shared server In sending options for a group I have enable batch sending send 25 messages every 3 minutes Quote
animgirl Posted October 18, 2004 Author Posted October 18, 2004 Hey thanks for the tip. I'm not sure what you mean by "shared hosting". Are you relating to the reseller accounts? I'm set up with one of those. Quote
TCH-Don Posted October 18, 2004 Posted October 18, 2004 (edited) You are welcome. You are still on a shared server as a reseller. All accounts are shared accounts unless you have a Dedicated Server. Edited October 18, 2004 by TCH-Don Quote
