motm95 Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 I am a current TCH customer operating a single domain account. I have searched the forum and I understand that if I wanted to setup a second domain I would either need to get a separate account or switch to a reseller account. That's cool. Here is my situation, however. I use ExpressionEngine CMS software and the EE license allows me to use EE to run multiple domains with one installation but the software needs to access all the folders. So, if I get a second account for my second domain, is there some way I get set them up so my two accounts can access each other? In other words, I want my EE installation on my first domain to run a second site on my second domain. Hopefully that makes sense. thanks! Quote
TCH-Andy Posted October 16, 2004 Posted October 16, 2004 Hi, It sounds as if you probably need a reseller account. It may work with 2 seperate accounts on the same server - but I'd guess that you will run into some problems with that method (it depends on exactly what permissions it needs to the folders) , but is more likely to run on a reseller account as add-on domains. motm95 Posted October 17, 2004 Author Posted October 17, 2004 Andy, Thank you for your reply. That was what I thought. I wish TCH had a "mini" reseller account -- the $19.95 reseller plan is just a bit out of my budget and is far more storage or bandwidth that I need. I guess I could resell some of that (since it is a reseller account) but I wouldn't have the vaguest idea of who to sell it to! Quote
