t2kettle Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 I have had my site up for over a year. I subscribe to an Outlook Exchange service that allows me and a couple of others to use the features of MS Exchange. I have the MX entry for my active domain forwarded to the exchange server (I also have a parked domain). I went into webmail and found that all messages addressed to my former email address (my_name@parked_domain.com) were sitting in my inbox ... for over a year. All emails for (my_name@active_domain.com) have come to the Outlook Exchange inbox without any problems. 1. Can I use a forwarder to forward (my_name@parked_domain.com) to (my_name@active_domain.com) ? 2. Do forwarders have any restrictions on what they can be forwarded to, like any email address? 3. How long does it take for a new forwarder to be active? I would think that I can't set the MX entry for my parked_domain to go to the exchange server since the domain would be different, but I'll have to check with that service to see. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Welcome to the forums. Yes, you can forward your parked domain address to your active domain address using cPanel's Email Forwarders. The forwarder is active as soon as you add it. However if you do not delete the parked domain's account you will still receive a copy of the email in that box as well. Don't know about changing the MX record. Quote
