nolageek Posted March 27, 2003 Posted March 27, 2003 I realised I had posted this in the wrong forum, so I'm moving it to this one - where it should have been in the first place. I had posted it in the Frequently Asked Pre-Sales Questions Forum, but it didn't really get solved there, so I figured I'd give it shot here. I already own the domain reelidentities.org, but I want to move it to TotalChoice. I tried to open an account with TC, specifying that I "already own the domain and will handle the transfer myself". It then tells me that TC already has an account for that domain name. I can only assume it is refering to an aborted sign-up of mine from last week - but I never got any log-in information or anything from TC then.I guess it's possible I deleted it by accident, but I sincerely don't recall receiving anything from TC. I was trying to get this set up for the weekend, but now I dont think the new nameservers will propagate in time. I sent an e-mail to sales@totalchoicehosting.com Monday at 1:30... I got an automated reply, but nothing else since. Quote
baseline Posted March 27, 2003 Posted March 27, 2003 I'm just guessing, but I think that since you have an aborted signup from before and it's still on record, then you cannot complete a new signup using the same domain. Your choice probably be to 1. find the original payment email if possible 2. get somebody at TCH to clear your original signup record, so that you can start fresh. but that's just my guess of how it works.. so... um... BUMP! Quote
nolageek Posted March 27, 2003 Author Posted March 27, 2003 so... um... BUMP! That's what I thought... My e-mail account is completely empty - nothing in my trashcan either... so if I did get it, I may have deleted it with a bunch of spam by accident. (Since I aborted the sign up mid-way I wasn't looking out for an e-mail) I've asked several times if It's possible either get the payment link again, or clear the old account, but haven't gotten a reply. Must be busy or something. Quote
nolageek Posted March 27, 2003 Author Posted March 27, 2003 Got it all taken care of in chat. Thanks so much Bill! Quote
