I have never checked the raw log before, but thinking its time to check out what it is.

However, when I click on "Raw log" in cpanel, the page reloads and nothing happens.

Is it supposed too or am I doing something wrong?

Also, I would need a list of unique visitors for today and yesterday, not who, but how many.

I assume the "Latest visitor" or awstats will tell me. Which one is to recommend for this?

Thomas when you select the "Raw Log" link it should popup the download dialog. It will be in .gz format which you can open with Winzip.

You will need a program for analyzing the log file.

You can get the Unique visitor info out of Awstats.
