Unzip And Repalce

How can I unzip a file with cPanel to a specific directory and to replace existing files there? I uploaded MovableType upgrade pack to my site and now want to unpack it to my MT directory and update the files. I don't want to use an ftp program to do this.

First look at the zip file to see the contents.

 

Does it contain folders and files

or just a folder.

 

if it has files like index.php and other folders with the same names as are inside the mt folder, then you need to upload it inside the mt folder

and select the zip file by clicking on the name (not the folder icon) and select extract file contents on the right.

 

If it has just a folder with the same name as your mt folder

then upload it above the mt folder as it will extract into the same folder name.

 

There should be instructions telliing you where to upload the update zip file to.
