Gil Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 Is there a limit on the size of email attachments either POP3 or on the SMTP server? Quote
freddy Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 In the short time I've been here I've seen this question answered before... If I'm correct there is no limit. You can have as much as your diskspace allows... SMTP depends on the recipients ISP options... Hope that helps, I'm sure someone fom TCH will confirm or correct my info later Quote
KevinW Posted March 24, 2003 Posted March 24, 2003 I beleive that email attachments are restricted to 2MB size. I will verify this for you. Remember also that the limit on email attachments is two sided - that is, both the originating and receiving mail servers will have a say in the matter! -kw Quote
Gil Posted March 25, 2003 Author Posted March 25, 2003 I did a little experimenting and it appears that a TCH mailbox will send and receive large attachments. (Over 5 Mb.) Horde also had no problem, but NeoMail appears to be limited to 2 Mb. Thanks for your inputs. Quote
KevinW Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 thanks for the update! I had seen on the cPanel forum where NeoMail wa slimited to 2mb. -kw Quote
