shockingman Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 I want to purchase a plan because the hosting company I originally hired, failed to deliver quality service, but they already registered the domain name, what can I do? I write to them for instructions but they don't reply, is there anyway I can purchase a plan with you and keep the domain name withot going through the other company? Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted August 17, 2004 Posted August 17, 2004 Do you have access to manage your domain record with the registrar used? Meaning are you the administrative contact for the domain. If so, you can use the domain you registered. You can leave it where it's at and change the DNS servers to point to the web space you purchase here. Or you can transfer the domain to TCH as well and get an additional year with the transfer. If you are not the administrative contact for the domain you registered your hands are pretty much tied unless they release the domain to you. You have to be the contact for the domain to be able to do anything with it. Quote
shockingman Posted August 17, 2004 Author Posted August 17, 2004 Thanks, I'll look into that because I'm not the administrator, I'll tell them to release the domain. I'll get back to you later. Thanks again... Quote
