samporras Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 I was looking into buying a silver hosting plan for my own personal use. I do not have a domain name and when I went to register, I could not complete the registration without entering a domain name. I manage two sites that are hosted through TCH, but when I created these sites, the companies already had a domain name purchased. Can I purchase a plan without having a domain name and just use the IP address to access the account? Or do I need to sign up for a different plan? Thanks! Quote
LisaJill Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 Yes, just put in a fake domain or one you have planned for the future. Then you'll access your site through ipaddres/~username. Hope that helps. =) Quote
