shadyDW Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 I currently have hosting service for a website that I will not be renewing at the end of the expiration. Can I have this service transfered to a new site that I plan on putting together, or will I just have to purchase a new package for the new site? Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 If you are saying you are not going to renew the domain name you won't have to repurchase hosting. Just submit a Help Desk ticket (link above) and tell them the old domain name that is defunct and ask that the new domain name be pointed to where the old one was. If you are saying you are not going to renew the hosting then yes you will have to purchase a new plan. Quote
shadyDW Posted August 13, 2004 Author Posted August 13, 2004 I think I got what you are saying, but 'll try to explain myself a bit clearer. I bought one of your hosting package for a website on Mar 13, 2004. On that site's homepage I currently only have an image and a counter. However, the initial idea I had for the site kinda frizzled out, so I no longer decide to use the site for it's intended purpose. If I am able to transfer the remaining six months from this package to a totally new domain name I will most definately be happy to renew. Is this an option? Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 (edited) I think it will be easier to ask the tech guys to point an eventual new domain name to same hosting package and then when those 6 months has passed of that hosting packackage renew that one instead of purchasing a new one with new user name and all that. But its just my thoughts. Edited August 13, 2004 by Jikrantz Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted August 13, 2004 Posted August 13, 2004 Yes, open a Help Desk ticket and they will be able to help. Quote
