Sub Domains

yesterday i setup 2 subdoimains:

http://teahouse.redtv.org

and

http://amnesty.redtv.org

 

 

teahouse should point to http://redtv.org/teahouse/

and

amnesty to http://msu.edu/~amnesty/

 

but today after allowing what i believe is enought time for dns to propagate..... they still error page cannot be displayed.

am i confused?

 

ALSO:

is there a way to setup subdomains in a url frame so that the address bar retains subdomain url rather than redirects and updates to the actual url?

Same here this morning. Guess it may have taken slightly longer than normal to propogate.

Ya i fillled out a help ticket...

fot the record.... this was the response i got.

 

also.... is there a way to retain the subdomain in the address bar rather than resolve too the actual url?

 

and I didnt know that sub-directories of the root /www

are automatically dorected to by the subdomain w/ the dir name... but appearantally this is true...

 

 

There was a problem with the DNS ZOne that I have repaired. Also note that you should not set up a redirect unless the subdomain is going to a place other than the folder with the same name as the subdomain. teahouse.redtv.org will automatically go to redtv.org/teahouse.

 

It will take some time for the changes to propagate.
