Hi all,

My MovableType site had been up and running just fine until mid June. I tried to add a new entry recently, I saw resizing and creating a thumbnail function producing a not-so-helpful immature header script error.

I made no change in my script and its setting files in that period, so I issued a ticket asking the support to check on the installation of ImageMagick and PerlMagick on my server. They said both are installed properly and tell me to double check my setting.

Any advice where to look or what to check? I upgraded MT to the latest one (3.0) and made sure everything was okay with its checking program. Other features such as editing entries and uploading files work just fine. It's only ImageMagick related features that produce errors.

I stopped using MT some months ago so can't test this at the moment, although I can definitely say Imagemagick is working with my EE install on server65.

Since you just upgraded, the most common things that would cause this are not uploading in ASCII and/or not having all .cgi files set to 755.

Have you checked those?

Thanks for the comment, Lisa.

My last post wasn't clear about the timing of the upgrade, but I tried upgrading after I saw that ImageMagick wasn't working properly. Upgrading didn't solve the problem

For time being, I decided to use GD for image processing instead, and it works all right.

Is there any chance ImageMagick installation isn't appropriately done on a particular server?

Anyway, I'll check the perms and for corrupt files.

Thank you.

Thanks for the comment, Lisa.

Of course, I checked that and it didn't report any error. Actually I guess it successfully detected the path to ImageMagick because it says ImageMagick and PerlMagick are both properly installed.

It was working just fine one month ago, and I didn't change anything on my side. That's why I'm skeptical if there was any change on the server side.
