Guest Lady Sharisse Posted March 17, 2003 Posted March 17, 2003 I have followed the instruction to set up email clien..and thought that it was kinda easy to set up just to follow the instruction with the name of pop3 or smtp thing on the welcome email.. But then I tried to send an email from my yahoo email to my new email which is webmistress@ladysharisse.com but when I login to horder or neomail...why in my inbox there is no emails at all???I have waited for one day because maybe I thought it will take quite awhile..just like propagation with domain name... but I still dont received my email.... is it something wrong with my setting up the client email or what?? please help me...I follow the instruction with outlook express set up.. thanks before that Quote
bethohio3 Posted March 17, 2003 Posted March 17, 2003 I had a similar issue, and discovered that all of my email was going to my default email box, *and* that my default box was not what I had thought. I'll try and explain what I mean--it took me a while to figure it out: Domain = www.domain.com Username (login to cpanel) = beth Default email set to 'is-spam@domain.com' Here's what was strange to me: 'beth' <> 'beth@domain.com' They are two different email addresses and POP3 boxes. Since they are two different boxes, anything sent to 'beth@domain.com' was being handled by the default address handler--which I wasn't checking. To solve this (thanks, Bill!), I needed an *additional* email account: I still have my "main" account: beth I also have an additional account: beth@domain.com My default adress is set to: is-spam@domain.com I hardly ever check 'beth'--there's nothing on it. I check 'beth@domain.com' regularly--it's my mail account. I check "'s-spam@domain.com' occasionally--and filter it all into a single folder which I almost always delete without reading anything.
