Anyone Install Their Own Squirrelmail?

I was trying to install 1.4.3a squirrelmail on my domain but cannot seem to get it working. Currently I get this error when logging in:

 

Error opening ../data/default_pref

Could not create initial preference file!

/home/mxgiiyh/.sqmaildata/ should be writable by user nobody

Please contact your system administrator and report this error.

 

I have never done this before and have only setup a few things in config.php

 

I am not sure how to run the perl help script so am trying to do it all through ftp.

 

I have a feeling my permissions are wrong. I am trying to point my data folder to the .sqmaildata on my ftp root.

 

What I would really like to do is get my own setup of squirrelmail working but pointing to the same inbox and folders as the one hosted by TCH on port 80.
