Does anyone know a script or a tag to avoid commenters to use hyphens, dots and semicolumns as user name, especially in MT?

They are impossible to be included in MTBlacklist, or to be banned as you can not determine which ip will use interpunction.

Actually l know l should take java and html lessons... :P

Blackcat - I would personally email Jay Allen (blacklist creator) about this as it's probably best taken up with him in regards to MTBlacklist....

I'm going to move this to a scripting forum in the meantime though, for organization. =)

That'd be another reason to contact Jay - you could try email. Sometimes bad regexps do get through.

He answered does not accept .biz domains... 'cause most of them are spammers :)

But most of all, from home, as italian cable provider Fastweb has public ip for more than fifty user, including me, l am even banned and get 403 error.

Hope italian mt-blacklist users will not use the same configuration...

Well, if they use mt-blacklist and the master blacklist, it's very possible. This is one of the problems that I, personally, have with centralized blacklists and people that don't check them.

It's unfortunate that he's ruling out an entire extension. Strange.
