Croy Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 This isnt so much a scripting question as a potential mail problem. But I wasnt sure where to post it. I use the PHP mail command to send out status updates. Today I had someone's mail server bounce a msg back to me with this: 554 Address "support@dvdspot.com" assumed to be invalid - Impossible to verify support@dvdspot.com is a real email address (not a forwarder). This is the first time I have seen this. I am just concerned something may not be setup right, and cause problems in the future. This was the header: To: (snipped) Subject: Your DVDSpot information contribution (24: Season #1) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 X-Priority: 1 X-MSMail-Priority: High X-Mailer: DVDSpotPHP From: support@dvdspot.com Reply-To: support@dvdspot.com Message-Id: <E1BRZAw-0005Vr-8z@server31.totalchoicehosting.com> Date: Sat, 22 May 2004 12:16:42 -0400 Quote
borfast Posted May 22, 2004 Posted May 22, 2004 (edited) Steve, I moved your post to the Backend Services forum because it's more related to the mail service. This way we keep things nicely organised As for your problem, I have no idea what could be wrong but I'm sure one of the techs will say something soon. PS - Your website URL in your forum signature has one extra 'v', like dvdvspot.com Edited May 22, 2004 by TCH-Raul Quote
