I have a question or two about the Mailing List feature offered with my TCH account.

I found the option for a mailing list in my control panel, and am in the process of setting up a new mailing list right now. After doing some configuring and tweaking, I noticed an area in the subscription page that permits subscribers to send their own mass mailings out through the list.

I don't want that. I want only the administrator and/or moderators to be able to send out mailings though this list.

How do I configure the mailing list so that subscribers cannot send out mailings? Also, how do I eliminate that section of text from the subscription page?

I'm referring to this section of the page:

Using List

To post a message to all the list members, send email to ________________.

You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.

Or, am I misunderstanding how the mailing list configurations work?

Thank you! Jd

Don,

Thanks for that link, but the information on that page is not what I see in the Privacy Options of my mailing list controls.

I do not see an option for this: Must posts be approved by an administrator?

I do not see an option for this: Restrict posting privilege to list members? (member_posting_only)

However, in the Privacy Options/Sender Filters area, there is this option:

By default, should new list member postings be moderated? No/Yes

Then, the next option is:

Action to take when a moderated member posts to the list:

Hold Reject Discard

I'm assuming this is fundamentally the same thing.

But really, I'm far more concerned about eliminating the aforementioned text (i.e. the text in bold in my original message) from the subscription page. Is there any way to edit that out?

Even if I am able to moderate posts to the group and approve or reject them, I don't want the idea that it's possible planted. By removing that blurb, I greatly reduce, if not eliminate entirely, the possibility.

Is there any way to modify the HTML code for that page, to eliminate that text?
