  1. Thanks for looking into it! For some reason, the new forum will not accept my username and password now. It doesn't look like all the data/categories transferred over either, but I can't log in to make sure. Thanks SO much for your help.
  2. I just sent you a PM. Thanks!!!
  3. Everything is pretty much messed up now. I haven't heard back from Tech Support in two days, so they must be on holiday. I really can't do anything until the hack is fixed. I need to covert over to SMF asap, but that won't work until the hack is fixed. My forum has been down for an entire week now.
  4. I managed to get past the conversion issue, but the new forum was corrupted by the hack on the old one. I guess I'll need tech support to fix the old one before I can perform the conversion.
  5. I still can't get past this. Does anyone know what to do? Is this something that needs to be added to the new database (SMF)?
  6. I messed around in the old (cheval) SQL database and deleted some hacked stuff. I'm not sure what I did or how to do it again. Now I get this message: Converting... Converting ranks... Successful. Converting groups... Successful. Converting members... Successful. Converting additional member groups... Successful. Converting categories... Successful. Converting boards... Successful. Converting topics... Successful. Converting posts (this may take some time)... Successful. Converting polls... Successful. Converting poll options... Successful. Converting poll votes... Successful. Converting personal messages (step 1)... Unsuccessful! This query: TRUNCATE `cheval_smf1`.smf_personal_messages; Caused the error: Table 'cheval_smf1.smf_personal_messages' doesn't exist
  7. Thanks! That worked. Sorry, this is all new to me. Oh bother. This must be due the hack. I don't know how to fix this either. These hacks are driving me mad! SMF seems much better and easier to keep updated. Can I edit/fix this in SQL so I can make the conversion? Converting... Converting ranks... Successful. Converting groups... Successful. Converting members... Unsuccessful! This query: INSERT INTO `cheval_smf1`.smf_members (ID_MEMBER, memberName, realName, passwd, lastLogin, dateRegistered, location, posts, ID_GROUP, instantMessages, emailAddress, unreadMessages, MSN, AIM, ICQ, YIM, websiteTitle, websiteUrl, showOnline, timeOffset, hideEmail, avatar, signature, pm_email_notify, is_activated, lngfile, buddy_list, pm_ignore_list, messageLabels, personalText, timeFormat, usertitle, memberIP, secretQuestion, secretAnswer, validation_code, additionalGroups, smileySet, passwordSalt, memberIP2) VALUES ('2', 'LuciferCihan', 'LuciferCihan', '9fc99ab5a8f9ab1023a03df00984c635', '1162426941', '1105464247', 'Hacked By LuciferCihan \" FICKE ALLE VON ARMENIAN,FRANZOSEN U DEUTSCHEN !!! 8. Okay, I have everything set up correctly (from what I can tell). I ran 'convert.php' and filled in the phpBB2 directory and the SMF directory. I get the following error message: Sorry, the database connection information used in the specified installation of SMF cannot access the installation of phpBB2. This may either mean that the installation doesn't exist, or that the MySQL account used does not have permissions to access it. The error MySQL gave was: SELECT command denied to user 'cheval_smf1'@'localhost' for table 'phpbb_users'
  9. That's odd. I installed the latest update, but that was actually before it was hacked. Not sure what happened there. I am trying to change over to SMF now, but I want to make sure I do it right. I installed (from cPanel) an SMF discussion forum in /forum. My current phpBB is installed in /cheval How do I make the conversion? I have the following files from SMF: phpBB2_to_smf.php convert.php I also made an SQL backup in cPanel for the forum.
  10. Oh, that makes sense. Thanks.
  11. Hm, it looks pretty easy. Just upload the SMF file into my forum directory and execute? Can it be that simple?
  12. I opened a ticket and Tech Support is working on it. I don't know what else I can do to make it more secure. Like I said, I keep all patches and software updates current. They might have some ideas. As far as switching to Simple Machines (thanks for the link), what does that entail? Do I download a converter? "phpBB Converter php: Convert phpBB2 to SMF. Tested with 2.0.7."
  13. I need help! I keep my software up-to-date and I still get hacked. It's very frustrating and I don't know how to fix it. Right now, my forum is completely unusable. http://www.historique.net/cheval/ Can someone tell me how to fix it? Also, is there another board out there that is better? My skills in SQL and scripting are, well, rather limited. Limited in that I know next to nothing. Any help at all would be appreciated!
  14. Thanks! I found it and the path is already correct! YAY!!!! The album looks GREAT! I cannot thank you enough. http://www.historique.net/cheval/
  15. Wow! Thanks for the suggestion! I installed everything and it's working...so far. I'll post an update after I work with it for a while. I have one error so far, but I don't know how bad it is. One part in the instructions was not clear to me. I don't know where this "Admin CP" file is. #-----[ DIY INSTRUCTIONS ]------------------------------------ # CHMOD these directories for Full Album Pack to work correctly. . CHMOD 777 album_mod/upload CHMOD 777 album_mod/upload/cache CHMOD 777 album_mod/upload/med_cache CHMOD 777 album_mod/upload/otf CHMOD 777 album_mod/upload/wm_cache . Change "Path to cgi-in" in Admin CP to a relative path from phpBB root to your cgi-bin Create folder: cgi-bin/tmp/ CHMOD 777 cgi-bin/tmp/ CHMOD 755 cgi-bin/nuffload.cgi
  16. Thank you for your suggestions. phpbb_album is acutally just a table in my existing database that does in fact have my username in front of it. Is there a way to go into the database and edit the code without using the cPanel MySQL database interface?
  17. Hi Everyone, I hope I am in the correct forum for this topic. I am trying to install phpbb album (http://www.phpbbhacks.com/download/1060) for my forums. I have no experience with SQL and very little with anything else really. I followed the install directions carefully and double-checked everything. I am not sure how to make the SQL modifications. I went into the "MySQL Databases" area in cPanel and manually added the tables mentioned in the instructions, but I'm not sure I did it correctly. I don't know how to access the entire database without going through the interface in cPanel. I was also unable to add additional values to the phpbb_album_config table because I simply don't know how. Anyway, everything looks fairly good in the admin control panel for my forum, but when I actually click on the Album link on my forum page (http://www.historique.net//cheval/album.php) I get this error message: Could not query recent pics information DEBUG MODE SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 10 SELECT p.pic_id, p.pic_title, p.pic_desc, p.pic_user_id, p.pic_user_ip, p.pic_username, p.pic_time, p.pic_cat_id, p.pic_view_count, u.user_id, u.username, r.rate_pic_id, AVG(r.rate_point) AS rating, COUNT(DISTINCT c.comment_id) AS comments FROM phpbb_album AS p LEFT JOIN phpbb_users AS u ON p.pic_user_id = u.user_id LEFT JOIN phpbb_album_cat AS ct ON p.pic_cat_id = ct.cat_id LEFT JOIN phpbb_album_rate AS r ON p.pic_id = r.rate_pic_id LEFT JOIN phpbb_album_comment AS c ON p.pic_id = c.comment_pic_id WHERE p.pic_cat_id IN (1,2) AND ( p.pic_approval = 1 OR ct.cat_approval = 0 ) GROUP BY p.pic_id ORDER BY p.pic_time DESC LIMIT Line : 259 File : /home/cheval/public_html/cheval/album.php This is what I created using the interface in cPanel. 18. Perfect! Thanks; I made a backup of my database. I am having another problem now. My database has been restored (thanks tech support!), but now I do not have the option to select a directory to upgrade in the scripting section. My directory is called 'cheval'. It is listed under "Modify an existing Installation" and "Remove an existing Installation", but not under "Upgrade an existing Installation" like it was before the problems. So, I am still running the old version with all the problems. I could try manually installing the newest version, but I don't know how to execute a command line. Can anyone help?
  19. Thanks...I made a backup (I think that's what it is) called phpbb2[1].sql.zip (824.09KB). I have no idea if that will work, though.
  20. AHHH!!! I completed the ugrade, but one of my forum topic areas is completely missing! I have no idea what happened to. Somebody from Tech Support fixed the hacking problem and then I installed the upgrade from the Script section. How do I get it back?
  21. Hey everyone! Thanks for your help! I got far enough with v.2.0.20 that I needed to execute a command (which I have no idea how to do) <<patch -cl -d [phpBB DIRECTORY] -p1 < [PATCH NAME].>> So....It was a great relief to me to just install v.2.0.18 from cPanel. Yay! I might re-visit the idea of upgrading to v.2.0.20 when I learn a little bit more, but as for now, the crisis has ended. Hopefully no more hacks for a while. Thanks again everyone!
  22. I must have an old version of phpbb because my forum keeps getting hacked. Does anyone know how to upgrade from an older version while keeping all my data intact? Help!
