I have been experiencing server downtime with my current host (HostDepartment), and was told by their live support that all web hosts experience downtime. Now I understand no host can have 100% uptime all the time, but the downtime I'm getting seems to be out of the "norm".
Here is a 2 month report from a site monitor service I use:

03/05/06 21:42 No reply 22 minutes
02/27/06 04:54 No reply 21 minutes

02/21/06 19:01 No reply 21 minutes
02/20/06 18:11 No reply 21 minutes
02/11/06 06:27 No reply 56 minutes
02/11/06 00:20 No reply 2 hours, 11 minutes
Does that seem normal for most hosts? It still averages about 98% uptime so being a newbie that I am,
I'm not sure if its normal or not?
What do you guys/gals think?
