Hello- First time posting here- I see this is an old thread but I think I found the solution if one hasn't been found already. PayPal does subscription payments (including auto-rebilling) and will walk you through the process. All you need is a CGI system that PayPal can send an Instant Payment Notification to that will create a membership (username and password) for the client in your htpaccess which expires with the subscription. The subscription content is stored in folders that are member-access only (and can therefore even be steaming media).
