How hard would it be to modify the script so that it would work with a hosting service that has not installed anything beyond the basic ftp function? Oh, this thread has been really helpful. I have the email backup function working by means of a crontab but since my hosting service, another one that will go unamed, does not have NcFTP or ProFTPd how can the script be modified to work? Thanks to all for some very helpful comments and information. Bob 3
