  2. Hello I am tring to upload my web page using fetch ftp which was working perfectly until today. Now whenever I try to upload my web page it gives me a timeout error saying "there was a timeout trying to establish a passive mode data connection." I checked my preferences and passive mode is checked. I haven't changed anything that I know of in my ftp settings from when it was working. Thanks Bill

  4. sorry- for anyone interested here is the link for the topic http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...showtopic=12046 and I used this answer (After you went to cpanel > Password protect directories > select folder, click on the tick box next to the lock icon. add a user and a password) from Don. 9. I am working on my home page and have a picture on the page. When I upload the page the image does not show up. Ive tried placing the original image in the images folder in public_html folder with no luck. When viewing page on computer that contains the orignal image the page will view correctly on the internet but other computers we get the little red "x". The image is a jpeg I tried renaming to all lower case as other posts have suggested with no luck. What am I doing wrong, placing in wrong folder, wrong format, or just plain wrong. Any help would be appreciated thanks
  10. your advice helped! Its working Thanks!
  11. I have tried uploading content to the public_html folder but when i type in my web address it still comes up as the index page. Do I need to change something to get to my web page instead of the index page. Again thanks for the help.
  12. ive purchased my domain name and hosting thru tch. Received my welcome email and web address (sunnymom.com) When I attempt to access my site it points to the index page. By looking thru the forums I feel i have to point my dns to the correct ones. However I don't know how to do this. I see a lot of info on going to your registrar and changing it there but tch is my registrar and I'm not sure how to access my account. Im a new at this so be gentle. Thanks for the help
