I'm planning on signing up for a TCH account and transferring my existing domain over, along with the contents of the Mysql database currently in use.
I've read some of the information items on your website and the one concerning domain transfers says that I have to instruct my current host to change the Name Servers for my site to the details given to me at point of account activation.
Do Nameservers also affect email, or is there something else I'll need to do the make sure any new emails get delivered to the TCH servers instead of my current host?
I've never transferred a domain before. I ordered my dcurrent domain through my current host and have never had cause to move it anywhere else.
I also understand that you offer a facility to 'hide' my true name and address on my whois record, while not taking ownership of my domain and not interfering with any renewal requests. I'm a bit wary of my real details being available to anyone who knows where to look, but at the same time I dont want to cause my domain to lapse because no-one knows where to send the bills... Can someone please expand on how this works, and how I can organise it on my account once created?
