I'm new here, trying to move a vBulletin forum site over from another web host, but having some problems. I've set up a mySQL database using the CPanel tool MySQL Databases, did a "Check" and no errors. But, the vBulletin program can't seem to connect. I've checked the username, password and dbname many times. Re-uploaded vBulletin a couple of times. Is there some thing else I need to do to make the database available. I don't find phpMyAdmin as a standard tool here, do I need to install it ?? My last web host PowWeb did not use CPanel, so it's new to me. Do I need to make the database "active" or something ?? BTW, "friends don't let friends" use PowWeb, one problem after another, customer service is a joke over there, servers failing or overloaded, databases corrupted.
