  1. Thanks, however, everything in mt.cfg seems to be correct to me (cgi path, mysql db driver, user and db) I created mt-static but left it commented out since I wasn't placing all cgi files in a cgi-bin. Please forgive my ignorance. I do not know what part of mt.cfg should be edited and the MT installation guide, TCH install help & forums, nor anything found on google seem to address this. Can you tell me what to look for? Will <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks for the help. That did it! Will

  3. Greetings - I installed MT successfully (I think) but then found I was unable to login with the default username (Melody) and password (Nelson). I keep getting the following error. The requested URL /movabletype/mt.cgi was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. I placed mt.cgi in public_html/mt/ just ast TCH directions propose. Is there a way to correct this? Will
  4. Hello Again! I believe I just figured this out by reviewing some helps elsewhere in the forum. The problem was resolved when I added my user to the db. I had only created this user and thought I had added it! Will
  5. Greetings! I followed TCH's installation guide for MT installation and MT's own installation guide when more detail was necessary. I am attempting to run mt-load but I have run into an error message that I cannot resolve; it's listed below with cpanelusername subsituted for my own username. Bad ObjectDriver config: Connection error: Access denied for user: 'cpanelusername_mtadmin@localhost' to database 'cpanelusername_mtdatabase' Any ideas why this might be happening and what I can do about it? I successfully created the mysql database, gave appropriate permissions to the admin, made certain that all cgi files had 755 permissions, double-checked that all files were located in the right place, double-checked that nothing in mt.cfg was commented out... Thanks, Will
