  1. As you may know the AUP prohibits pointing a domain to a portion of your site reguardless of how it is accomplished. So the script you speak of would still violate the AUP. Sorry, but thats the way the policy is. Hi Don. Well, I didn't mean to imply I was about to start using scripts to point domains to directories. Sorry if that's how my text was interpreted (I have zero knowledge of scripting or script installation). Take care, Charles
  2. Hi Lisa. I actually caught your comment at my blog, which was very helpful. I just posted a quick reply. Parking domains is cool if you don't have any special content for the site in question. I do, however, have a few things I'd like to present at the seperate domain, although it's all very simple and, I think most would agree, not exactly worth the trouble and cost of having a seperate account. I've been told that a simple cgi script can change this: that, whenever I receive a request for a parked domain, this script can send the viewer to a seperate directory. And I could supposedly do this myself. I certainly don't want to meddle in TCH policy, especially if there is some important concept behind limiting a non-reseller account to one domain. My suggestion was just an attempt at offering advice regarding adding value to your services, which already are pretty attractive. As for the script thing: I really do understand that it's an uncommon request. I was very surprised that my previous host offered this service (with very comparable pricing to TCH). Once again, just an idea that would make something great (TCH) even greater (even if it would cost me a couple bucks more). Lisa, thanks for your reply. It's good to know you guys and gals are on the ball here, something increasingly difficult to find in hosting. Since this forum is so well kept, I guess I'll pop up every once in a while to make these suggestions again. Thanks again, Charles
  3. Hi there. I'm new here at TCH. I'd like to congratulate the TCH gang for their very impressive quality of support. Bravo. I'm another Bloghosts refugee, and before coming here I checked many, many other hosting options. Needless to say, the hosting package offered here was the most attractive, and so here I am. There was one thing, however, that was missing here at TCH, and more common elsewhere. Many other hosts offer some kind of multiple domain hosting from a single account -- the "addon" option in cpanel. I'm aware of TCH's reseller account, but just wanted to mention that some basic customers, possibly with only one other domain (as is my case), would be very happy to have some simple and limited form of addon functionality. I do have one other suggestion... There was one service offered by Bloghosts that was, in my opinion, very valuable, and of the over 10 customers I led there, I'm sure all agree. They offered installation of third party scripts, specifically, blog software. I wonder how much of a hassle it would be for TCH to install, say, Movable Type for their customers. Well, those are my two suggestions for a perfect tomorrow. Until then, I must say I am very happy to have moved to TCH. Thanks for everything. Charles
